The Master of Arts in Global Histories of Education (MAGHE) at The Education University of Hong Kong is now accepting applications for the academic year 2023–2024.

Masterprogram "Global Histories of Education"

Hong Kong is a truly exciting place! In 2022, The Education University of Hong Kong has successfully started the new Master of Arts in Global Histories of Education (MAGHE). Applications are now open for the second intake in September 2023.

MAGHE is an interdisciplinary programme that combines perspectives from global history, history of education and more present-oriented international/comparative education. The course offerings thereby trace educationalization processes over the last centuries, leading students towards a profound understanding of the historical foundations of education in the contemporary world. Applying a global perspective, the programme puts an emphasis on developments in East Asia.

MAGHE is a one-year full-time taught programme conducted in English. It is open to those who have completed a bachelor’s degree in History, Education or adjacent disciplines (Anthropology, Sociology, Economics, etc.).

The application deadline for the coming intake is on 24 February 2023.

For further information please visit the programme website (https://www.eduhk.hk/maghe/) or contact the Programme Leader Klaus Dittrich (kdittrich@eduhk.hk).
